To cater for growing demand in the region, a Canberra Liberals Government will provide land for a new Catholic school in Molonglo.
It’s estimated there will be over 3500 primary students and more than 2000 secondary students living in the new Molonglo area by 2021.
However, no land has been offered for a Catholic school site by the ACT Government, despite a quarter of ACT students being taught in the Catholic education system.
If elected, the Canberra Liberals will work closely with the Catholic Education Office, taking into account current and future growth needs and will provide a site for a new school.
Unlike ACT Labor, the Canberra Liberals believe in providing critical education infrastructure ahead of time.
A Canberra Liberals government will be able to afford this extra support, and more, because we will not build the multi-billion dollar tram.
