Liberals welcome NRMA investment into the future of Canberra’s electric cars

The Canberra Liberals welcome the NRMA’s generous announcement to invest $10 million into the future of Canberra’s electric vehicle fast-charging network, Leader of the Opposition Alistair Coe said today.

The NRMA announced today that it would deliver at least 40 chargers, more than double the size of the current network of charges in NSW and the ACT.

“Canberra is a city for a modern, innovative transport network,” Mr Coe said.

“The Canberra Liberals firmly believe electric cars and autonomous vehicles will be an important part of Canberra’s future.

“The NRMA’s generous investment into the future of Canberra’s electric car network is a bold and innovative step toward a competitive and modern transport system,” Mr Coe concluded.
