From specialising in ballistic plates and digital targeting through to remote weapons systems, local businesses XTEK and EOS Defence Systems will have the chance to make valuable connections in the European market as they showcase their products at the 2018 Eurosatory Tradeshow in Paris.
XTEK and EOS Defence Systems will travel to Paris, France as part of Team Defence Australia to showcase their capabilities.
Team Defence Australia plays a key role in the implementation of the Government’s Defence Export Strategy by facilitating networking and engagement at international trade shows and access to global supply chain opportunities.
Liberal Senator for the ACT Zed Seselja said that the opportunity for innovative local businesses to attend Eurosatory is a real benefit to the region.
“Canberra has a great representation of innovative defence businesses already making their mark as industry leaders in Australia, and internationally. Accessing export opportunities through defence industry will continue strengthen our national economic position and help build our industrial base, which ultimately contributes to Australian Defence Force capability,” Senator Seselja said.
“Engaging in export opportunities will encourage growth, innovation and employment in the ACT, and the work of Team Defence Australia at events such as Eurosatory is crucial in achieving these outcomes.”
Eurosatory 2018 runs from 11–15 June 2018, and is one of the most prominent defence sector events in Western Europe, with the 2016 event attracting more than 57,000 visitors from 140 countries.
