Senator Zed Seselja will be officially named as the Molonglo Football Club Patron today at 1:30pm on the club’s home ground at Stirling Oval. The local Canberra junior Wildcats and senior Juggernauts teams encompass a number of male and female sides across a range of age groups.
“I was extremely honoured to be asked to be the Molonglo Football Club Patron for 2014,” Senator Seselja said today.
“It has been a privilege to work with the Junior Club President, Tim MacDonald, over the past couple of months and as a father of five children, I’m grateful for the work they do in promoting community sport particularly for the youth in the Molonglo area.
“By providing opportunities for talented young men and women to play Aussie Rules, the Molonglo Football Club is making a valuable contribution to the strength and spirit of the local community.
Junior Club President, Tim MacDonald said today, “We are excited to announce Zed as our Club Patron for 2014.
“Being a Canberra local and a proud family man, the values that Zed represents are what we as a Club stand for and we looking forward to working with Zed to promote the football club throughout the season,” Mr MacDonald concluded.
