Today on the official swearing in day of the new ACT Legislative Assembly, ACT Leader of the Opposition, Alistair Coe has welcomed four new Members to the Canberra Liberals team. Mr Coe has also paid tribute to former ACT Speaker, Mrs Vicki Dunne and thanked her for four years of service to the ACT Parliament.
“I congratulate all Members who have been elected and in particular my team and our four new Members, James Milligan, Elizabeth Kikkert, Elizabeth Lee and Mark Parton,” Mr Coe said today.
“Each one of our new Members comes from varying professional backgrounds and has a broad range of skills and experiences. I am confident they will represent their electorates with pride and honour.
“I would also like to take the opportunity to pay tribute to former Speaker, Vicki Dunne who has served the ACT Parliament exceptionally well over the past four years.
“We are a strong united team and we will represent the tens of thousands of Canberrans that have chosen us to serve them.
“We will work with the community on the issues most important to them and will continue to make sure the Labor/Greens Government is held to account,” Mr Coe concluded.
