The ACT Government can and should bring down the cost of living in Canberra, Canberra Liberals Leader Alistair Coe said.
Mr Coe is calling on the Chief Minister to ease pressure on Canberra families by bringing down the cost of living in the ACT.
“Rates, taxes, fees and charges are higher than ever before, placing a huge burden on Canberra families,” Mr Coe said.
“Even though the ACT Government is generating record revenue, it has created a $3 billion debt bomb that Canberra families will have to pay back with interest. Despite the record revenue and record spending, services are worse than ever.
“Clearly, this long-serving government has the wrong priorities and is not focused on the fundamentals for families.
“Canberra families can’t afford more of the same thinking. More of the same will only lead to more financial hardship for more families.
“There is a better way.
“We must focus on the fundamentals and reduce pressures on families by reducing the cost of living,” Mr Coe said.
