Doszpot To Raise Yarralumla Residents Concerns In Assembly

Today Member for Molonglo Steve Doszpot will highlight the ACT Labor government’s failures in proper planning for Yarralumla and will suggest remedies for the process.

“I will move a motion in the Legislative Assembly this morning on behalf of the hardworking Yarralumla residents who are fighting for appropriate planning in their suburb. I was presented with a petition on Monday morning and I will represent the residents’ concerns this morning,” Mr Doszpot said.

“I’m calling on the government to consult on traffic concerns and provide analysis on the traffic implications, not only for Yarralumla but also the surrounding suburbs of Deakin, Hughes, Curtin and other parts of Woden.

“Building heights, access to community facilities and parklands have all been raised as concerns in submissions to the Land Development Agency and should also be addressed.

“For the sake of proper planning the government needs to be open and play ball. Many residents in Yarralumla have raised concerns and the government needs to listen,” Mr Doszpot concluded.
