The Canberra Liberals welcome the ACT Government’s decision to introduce a drive-through testing facility, Shadow Health Minister Vicki Dunne said.
Last week, the Canberra Liberals publicly called for drive-through testing facilities to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the community, something that was supported by the Australian Medical Association.
“The Canberra Liberals have been working constructively with the ACT Government on the health impact of COVID-19, and we are pleased to see that they are now adopting this method of testing,” Mrs Dunne said.
“It is very important that we avoid a situation where people who may be carrying the virus are in close proximity to other susceptible patients.
“The safety and health of Canberrans workers is our first priority. We will continue to work with the ACT Government to ensure the safety of all Canberrans,” Mrs Dunne said.
