Born in the South Indian state of Kerala, Jacob moved to Canberra in 1998 to pursue an MBA and, along with his wife Beenu and their two children, has called Canberra home ever since.

With a career spanning over two decades in both the public and private sectors, Jacob has held senior policy and budget analysis roles with the Commonwealth Department of Finance and KPMG. Jacob is currently the CEO of Maple Advisory Solutions, a consulting firm based in Canberra.

Beyond his professional career, Jacob has actively contributed to the Canberra community through his volunteer involvement in numerous professional, academic, social, and community organisations. Jacob’s involvement includes roles with the Australian Institute of International Affairs (AIIA), Canberra Business Chamber, Federation of Indian Associations in ACT (FINACT), Gungahlin Community Council, Cancer Council, Vinnies, and Red Cross.

As an Australian by choice, Jacob is deeply committed to representing the broader Canberra community in the Australian Federal Parliament and to securing a fair share of Commonwealth resources for Canberra, helping to build a vibrant community with strong families and a healthy environment at its core.

Jacob strongly believes in a capable government that prioritises efficient administration, long-term planning, and prudent financial management. He is passionately committed to a Government that provides increased economic opportunities, greater personal freedoms, and confidence for individuals when planning their futures.
