Member for Brindabella Andrew Wall is leading the charge for the Canberra Liberals, as he participates in the Leukaemia Foundation’s 48 hour Lifecycle event this weekend.
“Lifecycle is a 48 hour long cycling event held in Canberra, designed to raise awareness and much needed funds for the Leukaemia Foundation,” Mr Wall said today.
“Lifecycle’s long term goal is to build a care facility close to The Canberra Hospital specifically for patients and their families requiring treatment for leukaemia and other blood disorders. I am very proud to be participating in this fundraising initiative for the second time.
“The event commenced last night and will continue with individuals and teams riding continuously until Sunday at 6pm.
“The ‘Light the Night’ remembrance walk for survivors of Leukaemia will be held as part of the event at 6:30pm tonight.
“I commend the Lifecycle committee and all the participants and sponsors for their dedication and commitment to this worthy cause,” Mr Wall concluded.
