Zed to lend a hand at local café for Shop Small campaign

Senator for the Australian Capital Territory Zed Seselja will help take orders and clear tables at Coffee Guru Gungahlin as part of the Shop Small campaign today from 1:00pm.

For the second year running, Australians are being encouraged to Shop Small and Senator Zed Seselja is at the forefront of the local campaign to support small businesses in Canberra.

Shop Small which runs for the entire month of November, is a campaign that aims to promote small business in the local community and encourages consumers to think small when they shop.

“Small businesses are a crucial part of our local economy, by supporting the Shop Small campaign I’m hoping to raise awareness of the importance of supporting our local businesses and shopping centres.

“This afternoon I will be helping the Coffee Guru team in Gungahlin by taking orders and clearing tables. Running a business is not an easy task, they need the communities support all year round.

“Shop Small began over 5 years ago as a one day event in the United States. This is Shop Small’s second campaign in Australia and is an event that I’m sure will continue to grow.

“I’m urging all Canberrans to support small business and to think small when you next visit your local shopping centre,” concluded Senator Seselja.
