Today marks the final day in the Legislative Assembly for Liberal MLA Alistair Coe following 12 years of service to the Canberra community as member for Ginninderra and Yerrabi.
Mr Coe, who was leader of the Canberra Liberals between 2016 and 2020 thanked the voters of Ginninderra and Yerrabi, and the Liberal Party, for allowing him to represent them while also paying tribute to the many people who have helped along the way.
“To be elected by fellow citizens is very special. I am proud of what I have achieved and my commitment to the ACT over the past 12 years,” said Mr Coe.
“I thank all those who supported me over the years, in particular my wife Yasmin and children Angus and Annabel for the sacrifices they have made on this journey.
“I am very fortunate to have had the pleasure and privilege of being part of a wonderful team and to my colleagues on both sides, current and former, thank you for your friendship and support.
“Canberra is a wonderful place and it has been an honour to serve in the ACT Assembly,” Mr Coe concluded.
